The first Morgans were three-wheelers. Influenced from the motorcycles
of the day which were not taxed as the four-wheeled automobiles.

The first four-wheeler released in 1936. Known as the 4-4, four wheels and four cylinders.
In 1950 the Plus 4 was released. Having a more powerful engine, (2088 cc Standard Vanguard engine) and a lighter fiberglass body.

In 1955 the 4/4 was released with a new chassis and a Ford engine.
